I agree. Both the 940 series and GE 42L series work great for DRSSTC use. I use the latter almost exclusively. However, the GE 42L caps are not prohibitedly expensive. A single 0.33uF, 2kV cap is about $16.00 bucks vs. $2-3 8 years ago.

Thanks guys. I should be getting some 942 series caps soon from arcstarter. I also have an MMC of the 42L series caps that I made when they were a few dollars each.

If you're still looking, I have a bunch of 7700uF 200V peak lytics and a pretty large (24kV .09uF I think. I'll get the exact if you're interested.) MMC made out of 940Cs I'm willing to sell. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
