You could make an insane amount of money selling stuff like this to audiophiles.

Thanks guys, I’m pleased you like what I’m doing (Unfortunatelly my wife is not so impressed wink )

Commercialization of products like the one introduced in this thread is much bigger problem than it might look like. It is not only the design which is still pretty much prototype-like but you would need to solve many details which could turn into a real problem. Issues like RF interference and emission, all necessary safety attests (risk of electric shock, fire etc.) will not be easy to solve and I don’t think I will ever have time and motivation for that. I have good job, earning enough money, thus there is no reason to start a “hi-fi” company which would turn my hobby into something pretty stressful.
Actually this theme could be quite interesting as a separate thread for those of you thinking of making some money on HV stuff. Few guys here have some experience with selling SSTC kits; the question is if they are willing to share it.

Btw.
I’m still working on the project so I will post some updates soon.

Hi guys,
Just a small update. Everything is boxed with a small 50W toroid transformer.

Beautiful work. So when you are going to do the center-channel and rear speakers?

Also, you could try doing a subwoofer as well. I created a plasma subwoofer about five years ago that worked quite well. I used one of those freeware speaker programs to design a very high order (high gain) bandpass enclosure which really made the bass frequencies from the plasma speaker "sing!"
