Who cares, it's funny.

I went into a McD's here and asked for half a dozen nuggets. The girl replied "Sorry, we only sell them in boxes of 6, 9 or 12"

When I won my big puk SCR, someone emailed me asking why I needed such a big SCR, and wanted to know what I was using it for. Email came a few minutes after the bidding ended. So far, thats all the email I've gotten from random people, and hopefully stays that way.

I've recieved all kinds of crazy and disturbing email from my website, most of it originating over seas. (to be fair, I get intelligent email from "normal" people also) I don't keep a copy of most of the stuff, but recently I did have someone (local) send me a bunch of emails. He was convinced that Tesla coils powered UFOs, I knew the secret to it, and that I should help him build one.

The last email he sent me was:

atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi = 2,116 pounds per square foot !

we only need to create a pressure differential of 1% to generate 21 pound of lift per square foot

it can be done many ways - takes power, energy , speed

How do you handle something (and someone) like this???

That's simple, you use a negative area generator to cause a pressure differential.

Ignore them completely. If you show any interest (positive or negative) it confirms their ideas and makes matters worse. From their viewpoint their logic is not broken and nothing you say will improve matters.

Changing the subject to something completely different sometimes help but it can backfire.

Yes. You can't argue with these "True Believers". They think they are right, and you can't see it because you've been brainwashed by the sinister shadow government like everyone else. All you can do is ignore them and let them get on with it. Or join them, muahahaha! cry

When I meet people like that, sometimes I try feeding them some pure BS, then when they start talking about it/explaining it, I inform them that I pulled the idea out of my ass, and that they are a fscking idiot. The sad part is that most of them don't know when to stop, and will try to convince me that it really is true.

He seemed to think that the CIA (or other unspecified men in black I guess) were remote viewing him, and that I could build him a pair of Tesla coils with a suitable frequency to jam the brainwaves.

He explained all of this in a call from a public call box to my parents' house (where I was living at the time) and later came round to visit a few times. I pretended not to be in and had ghastly visions of this guy trying to kidnap me as his coil building slave :-o

Steve, you could have made a fortune cheesey

But yeah, I kind of feel sorry for the guy, to be that screwed up at least suprised
