thanks Steve, there must be a limit to the voltage gain, would you think that it is the amount of current supplied VS. leakage? maby field shapers would be necessary to go beyond a certain point.
The diodes have a 15kv rating and caps a 30kv rating with a peak output of 10kv form the flybacks. Do you think that at a peak rating of 30A on the diodes would be enough to survive the 500pf caps. certainly there are unknown limits arking it but how can make resistors with a 1, 2, 300kv rating. liquid res or spark plug wire would be my first choice.

hello all, I have a 800kv section built right now. I am working on a mazzilli driver and trigger switch so I can controle triggering. You may have seen pictures of my quad flyback and dubbler in other threads. It is a project so I get burned out and work on other projects from time to time. once I get the trigger box done I will add pictures. I will probibly work also work on a circuit to close the shutter on my D80 in bulb mode to capture the spark because it is netoriously hard to take a picture of a spark that lasts about 100ns. any quesions let me know

hello all I haven't forgot about about my project and have been working on the trigger for the marx and power supply this picture is of a triggertron switch assembly that I built for the charge and fireing of marx. The plan is to charge the marx to + and - 20kv then use the triggertron to connect one side to ground with a command fire. It is alot to setup maby a spark or two next week. I still have to get the marx to work and get my camera to do close in bulb mode.
