For anyone that cannot go to his house and pickup: Beware that he is asking A LOT extra for shipping! He is asking for $75.00 to ship the 833a tube (thats more than double the asking price). Now, I ship stuff all over the world via EXPRESS MAIL for much less. I have even shipped one of these 833a tubes before to China for MUCH MUCH less. Here is a guy on ebay located in Russia that can ship TWO of these tubes to the USA for $34.00 :

See here for another Russian auction that will mail one of these to the USA for $22.00:

This shouldnt be allowed on the forum. You need to figure your selling price out and not try to pull in so much by claiming the shipping costs so much. This is what ebay would call, "shipping fleecing". While I think a lot of what ebay does is BS, they do have a point when it comes to HIDING the real price you are after.

These tubes are no longer for sale, the local postal service is as cheapest asking 50USD which noone is willing to pay.

This post was totally uncalled for. Please check the facts before you accuse people of lying. I just checked the prices on posten.se, and the shipping price he quoted matched the prices there, see this table Link2 , divide the prices by 7.5 to get US dollars. I think you owe him an apology.

Just my two cents, my GU-81M from eBay cost the same amount as the shipping. Shipping from US to me in the US, it was 36 dollars, the tube was 32 bucks. Even though i think it is stupid it costs so much, it is not the seller's fault.

Uncalled for? Now look here...The offer was $50.00 SHIPPED for three tubes. Nothing more was said. I PMed him and told him I was interested and asked who makes the tubes. He responded back that he would need another $50-$75 if I wanted the tubes now. He didnt say where he was located, nor who he was using for shipping (or even what method). Just a quick "give me more" response. I then assumed he was in another country, asked for just the 833a and was told "no change in price".

I dont think ANYTHING I said was uncalled for. You dont go around making offers and then adding to the details once someone bites. If you do enough business, you become weary of such things. Again, look at similar tubes and how much they charge to ship. I had no idea he was in Sweden, nor could I have known. He doesnt list his location, nor made it known to me or the forum. So I am quoting random locations on the Earth to show that $75.00 seems a BIT too much for shipping. If Sweden has such unreasonible rates, then the seller should have made this known in the first post. Again, how the hell am I supposed to know where he is located and whether or not his country has crazy shipping rates?

This thread was closed, but yes I sure as hell responded to this! Apologies? For what? Think again about what facts were presented here in the sale thread.

Nope, it is not the sellers fault if his country has crazy prices for shipping. It IS his fault for not making this known in the FIRST post! Without this information, people are left to their assumptions.

Heres what caused this argument.

When i listed the tubes for sale i hadent yet checked shipping and figured it was like 5-10 bucks based on other things i´ve shipped in similar size and weight.

Then when EEYORE showed interest i got the idea of checking shipping and was chocked by the unreasonably high price. I know that i should have added this info to the post instead of just telling it in pm, i dunno what the hell i was thinking yesterday.

I know that my reputation here as a seller is now totally destroyed and possibly marked as fraluent. I know how EEYORE feels, i´ve had the same shipping scam pulled on me on ebay, sellers stating one shipping price in the auction but then when i won, seller slapped a 400 dollar bill for UPS shipping in my face.

My apologies to EEYORE for this screwup. Moderators and Admin, feel free to give me what i deserve, a permanent ban from this forum.

I don't think matt's flying off the handle was reasonable.

Maybe Hfsstc-freak should have made it known that he was in Sweden. If someone in Germany wanted to buy the item, then I'm sure the shipping would have been a whole lot more reasonable. I once bought a 30lb tube amplifier from him, and I don't remember it being that bad.

So remember folks, if you're advertising things in the Sale and Trade forum,

TELL US WHERE YOU ARE!

There's even a sticky thread reminding you to do so.
