I measure the frequency of this CCFL power supply and it's between 32 and 38kHz which is way below what some members run their resonant SSTCs. Would ZVS generate much lesser rate?
Im not sure about the frequency of a ZVS, but you dont need to worry about resonant frequency of an SSTC, from my understanding you are building an SGTC, as for the capacitors that you showed, I think that they might work, but the capacitors I was refering too are the ones like these:
they are commonly used in TC capacitor banks, the BEST and unfochunatly the most expensive are the large HV pulse capacitors that are made by maxwell. I would not buy those unless you are planning to build a high powered TC.
(try not to spend too much money on capacitors, just because they are expensive, doesn't mean they will work good and never fail). what im trying to say, make sure that you dont get ripped off. - by the way, you avatar is freaking me out... its staring into my soul...:-|

Would these capacitors be sufficient? They're polypropylene and not cheap WIMA FKP
Yes, those caps will work. Personally I am a fan of the WIMA FKP1 series.
I have made a very small coil using a CCFL driver from an old scanner, worked ok, just ended up blowing the transistors modifying the circuit for more power, still have to get around to replacing them.
