AFAIK,there are no books on "propagation" of long HF sparks with high repetitive sequence.Just books and references about steady state HF sparks & corona. In the best case you'll find stuff dealing with related problems about radars (usually >100 mhz pulsed HF trails).

Try "growth" if "propagation" bothers you.

It need not be a book, a journal reference would suffice. That said, I have never found either.

Bazelyan's book remains a excellent and useful reference for those wishing a better understanding of the subject.

Scott,I don't have much to point to as concerns references about RF spark growth ,propagation (whatever) which could be closely related to phenomena of SGTC driven sparks .I have no idea who could study that and why in scientific community.Glory days of old spark gap transmitters are long gone, and technical and practical value of such research would converge to 0 today (unfortunatelly). But at least here are couple of references dealing with RF sparks :
1)
I.D.Couper,A Mejia :"The effect of oscillatory switching surges on breakdown of non-uniform gaps",IEEE International Conference on properties and application of Dielectric materials,1988.,Volume 1,pp 156-159
[low and mid khz range ,has value for Tesla coil single shot operation]
2)
Abou-Seada,Mohamed S.:"Calculation of HF breakdown voltages of point-to-plane air gaps",IEEE transactions Volume IA-20,1984.,pp 1627-1630
[CW HF breakdown studied theoretically, good for VTTC coils and SSTCs operated CW]
3.)
Link2 [UHF range, conclude yourself what is this good for]

I have read #2 but the first one is new to me and sounds interesting. Thanks for that.
