Trip to Port Angeles. I believe the first one is an elk, or some similar creature but I honestly don't know. Other two are brown bears. I saw deer up there too running around in the street and open but they're a bit squirrely. The rabbit in the secnod image appears to be some sort of daredevil.

An assortment of native animals from the UK...
A duck,a squirrel, a swan and a wallabie.
The last one depends on the exact meaning of native in this context. There are wallabies living in the wild in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire and have been for more than 70 years, but of course they are not truely native to the UK.
There are reports that they have died out, but there are still sightings...
I'm sorry to say I cheated, this one is in a Zoo, in Derbyshire..

I never knew that. So we give you wallabies and you give us foxes?

Wumpus... Love the pictures... What equipment did you use to take the grasshopper photo ?
Derek
Hi Derek, I used the Nikon D70 + Sigma 180mm 3.5 macro lens (link: ). The lens is nice since it allows to keep a good distance away from the subject, just requires a steady hand and/or strong light.

I have the 150mm f/2.8 verion of that lens and it is excellent. At maximum aperture even a strong heartbeat will completely ruin the focus of macro shots so a tripod or a proper flash is recomended for macro work.
It is very usable as a tele lens too like in this shot.

Just a couple that I have taken recently with my Nikon D70S. First is a golden orb spider on my finger. Second is a monarch butterfly on some aerogel. Butterfly weighs 0.5g (yes I weighed it) and aerogel weighs 0.8g (10 cubic cm). Info here
All my subjects are highly trained and cooperative.
