It works! But not according to my specification. It still has a lot of disturbance. I will figure that out later. There is a more important problem. There is always a spark. The audio signal turns the spark off and on. No signal means that the spark is on. It should be the other way around. No audio signal, no spark. Can I achieve this by putting wire 2 to pin 3 (and wire 3 to pin 2)?

I was wandering. If I can’t solve the disturbance problem, then there is an option. Maybe it is time to separate the 2 power supplies by placing an opto coupler on the 3 pin of the 555 chip. It will run on max 100 kHz. I assume that this is no problem for an opto coupler?

I hope this is never too late :) invert the signal going to the RESET pin of 555 with a transistor...

just picture this out cuz I have no picture editing software installed in this pc... Emitter of NPN to gnd..Collector to 4k7 resistor then other end of resistor to V+. base of transistor with 1k connect to output of comparator... now the point where Collector and 4k7 resistor connect, tap it out to the pin4(reset) of 555... that is an inverter :)

Franky, I think you missed the point. The 100K resistor to GND should be on the right side of the input coupling capacitor,
otherwise the DC voltage on LM311 input pin is not well defined. (although clearly the circuit you drew does work).

Is your V- power pin connected to audio input ground, same as the other LM311 input pin?
That's also not proper practice, because LM311 performance is not specified
with input voltages as low as the negative power supply.
