I don't have any recent pictures, but here's me two years ago in a nursery in Iceland.

I've stopped over in Iceland three times, en route for East Greenland, and I've found the prices truly shocking - for a coffee and a slice of cake - and that's before you go out clubbing in Keflavik..... smile

Not quite the same as going out clubbing in Canada amazed

I lived for a while in Newfoundland - very "different". Had a good friend who lived in Reykjavík and we went hiking there a couple of years ago in the North. Fabulous country, if you like blasted wildernesses, but, at that time, frighteningly expensive. We hired a Landcruiser - in retrospect it would have been cheaper to buy one in the UK and ship it from Scotland - Somewhat cheaper now !

Did whale watching from a converted trawler - food was "interesting" (generally, I quite liked it - but didn't eat any of the kebabs...):

Here's a pic of me holding my 600J coilgun carbine.

This pic is also proof that I am indeed a basement dweller!

*Hopes no one is coming*

That was at an agricultural show not far from where i live. I spend many workhours every fall in our old harvester at home, so it was fun to be able to see how the farming big-shots do it. That thing is a big, green dieselpowered computer, packed with joysticks and LCD-screens. Woot! cheesey

This thread has left me hooting with laughter! smile

Nicko and I are real-world friends of the sort where an hour can go by on the telephone without weariness

My 4HV friends "Nickco, "Lez "Plasmatron, " and Mr and Mrs Russell, our site owners, also have no problem with gender diversity. Lastly, as Nicko cruelly suggests, my picture is a total fraud. I am in fact a tubby middle aged woman.

My love to you all,

Stella XXX
