Mates, your project reminds me of the first Tesla Coil I ever saw, which is located at Fry's Electronics in Fremont CA. That particular Fry's also has a humungous Jacob's ladder. The coil is located right in the middle of the store, and turns on every hour or so.

The Fry's coil is a full-scale "modern" replica of the famous coil at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Tesla Technology Research, Bill Wysock's outfit, built two of these replicas, one for Fry's, and the other for the Mid America Science Museum in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

I can remember seeing the original coil in operation at Griffith Observatory as a child in the early '60's; it left a permanent impression, and I can still clearly remember how LOUD the discharges were.

Hi guys, I did some additional upgrades on my Red Traffic Cone coil. It has a new topload which is not very pretty. I tried to make a big metal ball flat and this is the result
However, I found that the best performance is achievable with completely flat primary (flat spiral) and for the first time I tried the full AC voltage (220V). I think the sparks are quite impressive. I’m only reminding that my coil does not have any feedback… Hopefully I will be able to solve this problem one day and show even better results.
