Tend toward a rather eclectic mix, stemming from a classical education from which I was temporarily expelled after a series of unfortunate events culminating in a very large explosion... Oddly, I'll be meeting the man I nearly killed (more than once), my chemistry teacher, for the first time in 30 years later this month...
buzzcocks elvis costello the clash the damned the jam sham 69 squeeze (& jules holland) the ramones dead kennedys the undertones ramones genesis (& phil collins) cat stevens (aka yusuf islam, steven demetre georgiou) edie brickell chopin (specifically the nocturnes) ...a lot more classical, mainly piano sonatas a lot of blues &soul newton faulkner lots of cuban, central & south american music (bvsc, oscar hernandez, miguel campanioi, ibrahim ferrer. ruben gonzalez...) lately, some arabic music, e.g. fairuz (nouhad wadi haddad) loads of other rubbish

Well, over the years I've got a rather undefined taste of different genres. I really like those bands who are unique and got their own style like Pink Floyd, Opeth, Apocalyptica just to mentioned a few, there are of course greater ones but not that I can think of right now.
A few bands to mention is: Creedence, Opeth, Isis, Down, Downy, Khold, Ljå, Kvist, Apocalyptica, Dissection, Tool and Jimi Hendrix.
These are of course only just a few of the bands I really like. I've also come to like a few "electronica" bands/persons like Trentemøller, Massive Attack and The Prodigy.

I think its amazing how classic rock is in almost every post! And I have 20 GB of that =) What I like most to listen to while working is: - Grateful Dead - Free - Beatles - Allman Brothers (I have just a MTV movie of them. Anyone have a show or something?) - Eric Clapton - Rolling stones (the older albums) - Thin Lizzy - Hendrix - The Who - Rolling Stones - old songs - Jethro Tull - Cat Stevens - Cake
And from brazilian music: - Seu Jorge (samba rock) - Paralamas do sucesso - Titãs - Paulo Moska

You've got some good stuff there, Tobias - the Grateful Dead (I have Working Man's Dead and American Beauty) The Beatles (I have all the Beatles' albums) and the early Stones stuff: "Here comes your 19th Nervous Breakdown" brilliant.

Proud Mary..

You have the same two albums I have here from G.D. And discographies I have from Led Zeppelin, Beatles, The Who and Pink Floyd.
If someone wants to exchange a few albums I'm in. Its aways a good idea to add good albums to the collection. I have a few old pc's at home that can easily setup as a file server.. I'm posting a pdf file here listing all the albums that I had in 2009. It's outdated but should give a nice idea from what I like.

It can be pretty random, but some items that I always come back to: -Nightwish, the entire discography -Pirate of the Caribbean soundtrack -Transformers soundtrack -Jack FM (unfortunately I don't get it in my current town) which plays, according to wikipedia, "Jack stations play a mix of 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s hits with some current hot adult contemporary singles". -SKY.FM "solo piano" and "mostly classical" stations. I've found a few good artists from these stations.

I listen to trance whenever I'm doing something that requires focus or my attention. But any other time, I'll listen to nearly anything and everything. I love classic rock, country, metal, 80's synthpop, and even listen to some modern pop, hip hop, and occasionally, rap.
