Lately I haz mostly been listening to:

Soma FM - Groove Salad (internet radio)
Bill Frisell (trying to learn some of his licks)
Bill Perry- Live in NYC (ditto)

Rodrigo Y Gabriela
Nitin Sawhney
John Coltrane
DJ Krush
Beastie Boys
Soundgarden (last two albums, the earlier stuff just makes my head hurt now)
Ozric Tentacles and Allan Holdsworth (but only in small doses :O )

The soundtrack to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
John Williams: "The Guitarist John Williams"
The Incredible Jazz Guitar of Wes Montgomery
Television: "Marquee Moon"
Leftfield: "Leftism"
Goldie: "Timeless"
Future Sound Of London: "ISDN"

B&W Society Of Sound's free albums: Link2

My ITunes says "259 albums, 6 days, 13GB" and I have about another 200 albums on CD that mostly aren't ripped.

My all-time favourite is:
Paul Oakenfold - "Goa Mix Silver" and "Goa Mix Gold"

Some parts are a beautifully crafted relaxing soundscape, whilst others are bristling with pure energy. (For those who don't know it was broadcast as an "Essential Mix" on BBC Radio 1 many many years ago!)

-Richie,

PS. Oh yeah, and Prodigy's "Firestarter" for when I'm doing power electronics stuff wink

That and "Dead Cities" were constantly playing whilst I was doing university assignments in my final year.

I've been listening to some Fad Gadget and LCD Soundsystem whilst writing some Visual Basic programs at work which has certainly helped me concentrate. I prefer John Shuttleworth for gardening and Hard Fi/Kasabian/Eels for general DIY

C'mon, there has to be more people that can contribute!

I found a new band i really like. It is called Protest the Hero. I have always hated screamo, but they make the screaming they do sound... bearable, though still unpleasant. Until it sounds like they are tearing their throats, but the awesome music makes up for it.
