I thought so, problem is these capacitors are heavy and not sure a plastic threaded bar is going to hold the weight of the stack, quite a few caps so the whole thing is rather heavy. Probably going to need support plastic tubes between the caps then.

You may want to consider dropping your diode strings in a pot of boiling water to depot them, assuming your wax has a lower melting point than 100C (probably does). Then you can pot your resistors with your diode strings.
