I think you guys are missing something. This is going to be tough to explain but here it goes...

If what I see as green is not the same as what you see as green, It's because your brain interprets that particular wavelength of light different. We will both agree it's green, but only because we've been trained so.

No one can see infrared or ultraviolet so we must all interpret the same wavelength's with our brains.

I have to think that if some supreme being could tell me that my green is "Mr. X's" blue, then Mr. X must have perception higher in the frequency range. In other words he shouldn't see red and should see a little into the ultraviolet spectrum. Since we know no person can see ultraviolet we must ........

NEVERMIND

After all this i realize Bored Chemist said it best. How can anyone know how another persons brain interprets the light.

The eye has a weak response to IR light, I can think of at least one 4HV member that has been looking into an IR laser thinking it was a weak red laser. Some people have a mutation that make them more sensitive to IR light, affecting something like 1 in 2000 persons.

wait, so IR Lasers and LEDs are not emitters of red light as well as IR? - I guess I need to stop assuming things about my light sources!
