cool, i'm glad that this module looks promising. once I have built a suitable protection network i'll take the plunge.
I was not planning to use the vacuum motor for a RSG but a sucker gap instead. the motor and the speed control came built in to a vacuum cleaner that I gutted for this purpose. the motor is rated at 1200W and is quite noisy so I figure that the speed control will be useful to keep noise down, I also expect that I won't need to run the motor at full power for optimum quenching
I intend to use the phase angle control module to control the power to the NST only.
i'll order the bits for the protection network in the next couple of weeks so watch this space
Steve can you tell me what cable you used and where you got it? the only thing i can think of is the 7 core trailor cable, but thats only rated for 50v max
