...you have more ground wires that you can count coming through your window.
...you made an agreement with your neighbors to keep the noise level down to ~120db. (comparable to a rock concert)
...you have a dedicated plug for only Tesla coils (i know a bunch that are guilty *cough*Tesladownunder)

...
Picturedump365
Self explanatory.

You find out that your new girlfriend does not know what a primary coil is, and then you dump her.

edit: The dumping occurs moments after she gives birth to your son named Tesla, as you asked her how many turns she had on her primary as you were driving her to the hospital.

You've memorized the KVA ratings of all the pole pigs you pass by on your commute to work...

You start to design concrete foundations for your next coil.

You have to call the National Grid control room before turning it on.

The U.S. Navy have to call you and ask you to turn it off while they talk to their submarines.

They can't get through, because your coil destroyed the local telephone exchange.

(One for the solid state guys) - Every time you ride on the subway, you look hungrily at the third rail.

... you've ever come up with a plan to power your next coil that involved grappling hooks and overhead power lines.
... you call a spun aluminum toroid "beautiful" without hesitation, but your girlfriend hasn't heard it in months.
... Tesladownunder tells you that you're pushing the envelope too hard.
... your local utility company is getting really uncomfortable with the way you're eyeballing their pole pigs.
... your neighborhood doesn't need to have a trash day for appliances; the neighbors know by now to just drop appliances off at your house for parts harvesting.
... Dr Spark tells you that he's jealous of your coil's appearance.
... you haven't written an email in months, but you've got over 1,000 posts on 4hv.org.
... Richie Burnett tells you that your latest thread is too heavy on theory.

*You choose what uni you go to because of their connection to the national grid ( 2x 250MVA in my case tongue )
*Your copper usage equals that of a small country
*You walk trough your garden but fall over a ground wire every step
*You have a 2 meter tall DRSSTC in your bedroom ( crap I have )
*You can't sleep because your always pondering about better driver circuits
*The whole neighbourhood ducks for cover when you come close to the power switch

...you are known at every single junkyard in your area for "scavenging everything that looks remotely like it could be useful"
...before the carcass of that TV/microwave/etc is even cold its been gutted for parts and left outside.
...you go rummaging through the newly filled skip bag for "that last useful part"...
...your computer now sports more shielding and ironwork than B&Q's hardware section.
...you start foaming at the mouth and mumblng in ancient Elvish curses whenever someone mentions the words "clearout"...
...due to previous hardware damage all your equipment features optical links, even the mouse...
