There is no reason to spend time writing about safety when there is already a good paper on it on: Link2

Your right, he does have a lot. Enough that I took the time to read 90% of it. I personally never knew house grounding plugs are usually connected to the water pipes...I figured it was like my new grounding rod, shoved into the ground.

Everything that can carry a electrical current in a house is by law (maybe not everywhere) forced to be grounded to avoid potential differences if a phase by accident gets grounded on a chassis, construction part etc..

By this you can avoid the good old accident when touching the washingmachine and kitchensink at the same time.

Well, i know mine is just a long metal rod, about half inch or so in diameter in the ground. The reason i know this is because it is a pain in the rear-end to weedwack! angry

Maybe that is something old, this house is around 30-40 years old. Maybe newer houses use a different grounding method?

no, its the same ground rods used in new houses today, depending on the soil one to three rods are used, sandy areas need more rods due high ground resistance.

its tested with a groundresistance tester at 3 points from the ground rod and the resistance needs to be lower than 16,67 ohm

Ahh, that is very intriguing! I never knew that!

Well, i suppose i will add the multipurpose inverter (now dead because i suck, was messing with an induction heater hookup and the power wire from the supply transformer broke and hit the 80 volt output, which pulled too much current) on my website.

I am very very aggravated at the site right now. If you visit, most of the paragraphs are in different sizes than the others. I do not know why, i always use 2 (that would be 10 in say MS word or what ever else uses that kind of font size measurement) and i never change the font. If someone can help me on that, that would be greatly appreciated!

If i can figure these stupid IR emitter/phototransistor's out, i will put up a small electromechanical project i threw together in like 10 minutes.

highlight all of the text on the page in the website builder, and then click on the font size you want while its highlighted. there are stupid hot keys for changing fonts sizes that you might have accidentally pressed. xP

Yes, i have tried that. On the website builder, it all shows up as one font size. After i save and preview, it all looks different -.-.
