Ok, here comes the new and exciting results....
At 115VAC input, getting 55.5 inches out to target. I raised up the secondary a bit, and no flashovers or racing sparks at 115VAC. I don't know about 120VAC input though.
So anyway, 55.5 inches for now. I would say that once its fully tuned and at 120VAC input, we should see 57 inch streamers.
Oh, and I also need to place very small toroid on top, to see if a slight increase in capacitance will get me even better results.
Anyway, I'm very content with 55.5 inches, and once again hope to see 57 at full power with fine tuning.
What kind of NST's do you have? Looks to me like three 15kv @ 30ma, or am i wrong? Good Luck!!
Well thats why I am so excited with the results. These are not even 15KV units. Bank is three 12KV 30ma units in parallel.

Here are those pics you've all been waiting for. I pushed the coil to its absolute max tonight at 120VAC input.
Result is 58 inches, that's right, 58!! Very proud with results, as 58 seems great for three 12KV NST's in parallel.
First picture is the best. That strike to the target in the pic is 57.5 inches. I did 58 later. I could probably do 59 if I wanted to but theres no point in pushing the coil so hard to gain one inch.
So now, I've got several more things I want to do with this coil. First, I need to switch those 5 toroids to two fat ones. I also want to put some LED's on this coil somewhere, but I killed the led's the first time due to poor placement. The EM field of the coil made the led's burn out. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get LED's going on this thing. Are there any tricks for placement and such with led's on a coil. RF bypass capacitors across led leads?
Once again, very pleased with the results, and hope to have this coil always ready to go for family and friends. I won't be able to do much in the next three weeks,,,, too many AP tests/finals to study for in high school right now.

Well, I don't know about the LEDs, but I would like to say that the coil is a great performer. I wonder if, when you get some better/larger and fewer top loads on there, you can get any more power cranked out of that beast. It seems to want a smoother toroid on the top, and I say that because of the streamers coming off the top when you have a well-defined breakout terminal.
