I have just gotten a microwave and riped it apart I have one qustion though, how do I use A MOT? All help will be apreciated By the Way, I will Be on Vaation For about a week so Please nobody mark me inactive.

Just a couple f things needing pointing out... 1. MAKE SURE TO GROUND THE CORE (that bolt where the secondary attaches is a good place to do this). If you do not then the core will have 2.2kv on it, as well as anything melt attached to it. Also because the primary winding was not designed to handle the high voltage you can get arking to it, which can in turn connect the high current from the mains in in series with the hv out, providing a very deadly situation. 2. Make sure to use some type of ballast. If you do not use a ballast it will overheat and you won't have a mot anymore. Also, there probably will only be 1 hvout, so don't spend too much time looking for the second one.

Very carefully.
Remember that a MOT is a LETHAL device. It is not like an NST. If you get shocked by a NST, you'll likely live to see the next day. One mistake with a MOT, and it will likely be your last. They are not current limited and should you get shocked by one, thats 2100VAC with practically nothing to current limit it. Almost like a mini pole transformer.

I got shocked by my 4 stack once. It was about the most awful experience of my life. Keep that in mind when your using these things. Luckily, I must have hit the switch with my hand and stopped it. Burned a nice DEEP hole in my left thumb and a long line down my right palm. It hurt for weeks. Not to burst any bubbles, just be careful. I'm really lucky I'm still around.
