I've just started fooling with techno, I've been using Rubberduck and Hammerhead.

As I don't own a keyboard, I was wondering if there are any free MIDI emulators out there that let you're comp keys simulate MIDI input (So I can process it with plugins).

Well, you can download the demo version of fl studio, but you can't save projects.

In FL you can push keys to emulate a MIDI keyboard. It will play the selected instrument over 2 octaves.

Edit- oh crap, youtube messed the quality again, maybe something with the crappy new player... it ran nicely for a while then the quality dropped. Guess I'll need to make another re-upload... When I get home I'll post a link to mp3

After several tries of getting the sound right, my new track is finally finished. It's a mix between hard and melodic trance.

Click for online stream (w/ 128k mp3 audio and bad treble)

Click for high-quality mp3

Please tell me how you liked it

-J.M.

P.S. maybe you ask why I did not upload high quality video to Youtube, it's because they've blocked ALL high quality methods. Good bye youtube, there are now better sites for online music.

It get's a thumbs up from me for sure! It has got a very big and professional sound to it.

A distorted TB-303 type sound might fit well in the finale, but that's just my personal preference there. I was thinking of something like what "Man with no name" did, and it's common on a lot of Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto releases.

It already sounds sweet on my speakers though! Nice one Jan.

Thanks for your comment Richie, I'm glad you liked it :)

I'm still searching for an online sharing host with streaming audio/video (does not matter) which has nice sounding audio encoder or even better allows users to upload audio/video without transcoding...
