Blackcar was the name that me and my brother used for our stuff years ago. We split frown and the name isn't used any more. I don't know why it's stil hanging around out there- where did you see it alex?
Well I was saying that you should get on last.fm as your current band.. I mentioned blackcar because I still listen to blackcar. Looking up blackcar on last.fm returns someone else's band.

I want. suprised

I tried installing Rebirth (it's free now) on my computer, but the installer wouldn't launch. I'm going to try re-downloading the install iso, I'm thinking the download may have been corrupted.

Yea, I want too, unfortunately 303s sell for over $1000 on eBay nowadays dead I can't bear to pay $1000 for a crappy 30 year old plastic box with the build quality of a $10 transistor radio. A friend of mine just bought one and it turned out to be faulty when he got it. He was able to fix it, but it was still a bummer.

I don't understand how Propellerheads are allowed to say that Rebirth is a simulation of the TB-303. I heard that Roland's lawyers kick ass on anyone who uses the TB-303 name to sell a product. I would download it, but I have a pirate version already wink

I'll go check out last.fm and see what I can do, thanks alex!

here's my thing, although I need to do it again and clean it up because I missed too many notes.

I was sitting in my chair at the time while recording, so it was far from ideal.

mm...guess it didnt upload. Im gonna figure this out
never uploaded music before

well...i dunno....I can't upload it to my page because it won't let me..

My band Vitriol just recorded a couple weeks ago. It was really awesome, we went to SonicBoost Studios in Georgia. I got to record with a first year PRS and a Mesa/Boogie Nomad. The whole song took seven hours to record, mainly because this was the first time we have recorded professionally and we screwed up the click track angry
Here's a link to our Myspace: Link2
We're a metal band, heavily influenced by Lamb of God, Mastodon, and early Avenged Sevenfold. But we're doing some new and interesting stuff, expect to see more songs on there soon!

Wow, that's some serious metal! I don't listen to metal much nowadays, although I spent my teens moshing to Anthrax and Sepultura. Your track reminds me of something off "And Justice For All", what with the double tracked guitars and the real heavy brutal sound. I'm well impressed that you recorded a long complex track like that in seven hours and got it sounding good.

I think the most impressive metal band I ever heard was Meshuggah. I can't bear to listen to them for more than about 10 seconds, but in that time, I'm blown away by how complex and messed up their songs are.

A first year PRS, do you mean one of the early ones when they were still handmade by Paul Reed Smith himself? shades *drool*

*edit* I forgot to say, hazmatt, if you can't get your mp3 to upload, e-mail it to me and I'll host it. "steve at scopeboy dot com"

Thanks Steve! I believe the PRS is something like a 1981, Eric Myers at SonicBoost called it a "first year," I think what it means is that it's not a re-issue, but an original bird-inlay PRS archtop. Eric borrowed it from a friend, and either way it costs more than my life is worth so I was pretty careful! It was a beautiful guitar, though.

Well if it's any condolence, it might not work anyway. Didn't work on my system. I suspected a corrupted download, so I got the iso again and it didn't work that time either. I've both mounted the image and attempted to install, and tried burning and installing from cd. The installer doesn't even launch.

And just for Alex+co, I downloaded the torrent with utorrent, burned onto a CD with Nero, ReBirth works just fine. it does ask for the CD to be in whilst running though, *weird*
It appears to be quite complicated though, I can't figure much of it out :P

's all for now

Pete
