It might sound dumb, but i have a set of speakers for a computer that has a jack in the front. I hooked it up to test it out with my Ipod, and it still works. Though the transistor i had was the wrong one. ( i cant find the right one any were around my area )

This could work, but then you would need a rather linear, and sensitive optocoupler, you should at last have a opamp to amplify the low voltage audio signal to actually reach a voltage so the optocoupler can start emit light on a analogue scale... Internally..

Well i have been gone for a couple days, i tend to work a lot up at my EMS station. But i cant seem to find the IRFP250N MOSFET's on any of my normal parts websites. Am i missing something or typing the wrong part number? If some one could point me in the right way for really cheap, that would be great. (as i dont get paid at my EMS department :P )
