hit the capacitor can generate a deadly light or maybe microwaves can be reflected by the target and damage the HERF gun, or damage the power supply of the gun, or kill the man who put "power on" on this power supply...
and if the capacitor is full, rest of the power supply energy pass across the diode and go to the ground , right ?
it's not a good idea to be connect with THIS ground, right ?
so is't better that the ground is connect with the faraday box or and external ground ?
( or it's not important ?? )

elodie
( i will survive ! smile )

and with a box, HERF is more easy to tranport
maybe with a pastic box around a steel box ?

Aah! Sweet memories...

My chemistry teacher has some of the best quotes in the world:

On the subject of a thermit reaction:
"It could be a little difficult to set this off as it's a bit wet, so we could use a small explosive charge. I forgot to bring any this morning, but we're chemists, so we can make one."

On the subject of why no-one really believes the earth is flat:
"You look out into space and what do you see? BALLS!"

On the subject of a question in a test paper:
"It says Iridium to put you off, because you don't know it. But everything you need to know is there... Ok, if it said metal Gerbil reacts with Sulphuric acid to form hydrogen gas and a solution of Gerbil (III) Sulphate, you could still answer it."

But I will always like General John Sedgewick's last words (or at least the version of them I remember):
"This will never do, hiding from single bullets! I tell you men, they couldn't hit an elephant at this dist..."

I have two of my own quotes...

"People who use quotes just lack the intelligence to come up with their own." - robotking34

This second quote I used when explaining why I didn't do my homework to my Biology teacher...

"Logic is for the weak-minded." - robotking34

From Alex's post - "I think people who quote themselves in their own signatures are total idiots" -Trepidati0n

Or people who quote themselves are egotistical and crazy. Oh. Wait. Well, whatever, I guess that could apply to me.

I suppose that was a little harsh, but it's true. Self-quoting is really looked down upon.
