That is what all my ham friends said to me in the 60s when bought all the tubes I could. Sold a new 450TL for $900 new in box…. Paid for all the 833Cs, sockets, heat sinks for Quadzilla…; furthermore, a six pack of beer, and gas in the HD! Yep forethought my son… sell you four new ones for $60 each….

That's real neato but there's easier ways to make money, also why would I buy them for 60 each from you? Am I missing something here? I'll just grab 50 of the other ones later. Thanks anyway
Hey Chris if you wanna really show me then you just give me 4 for free and be the better man. I would certainly learn from that. heheh

$200.00 each for an item that cost 45$ or so is stupid as hell. There are many other superior choices for $200.00. Ban me if you want mods, but im calling him stupid. That kind of crap is why our economy here in usa is crap now. Do some more research...Its people like you that drive prices up and RUIN things for others. Matt

Chris,
I realize the price is kind of steep, but I have been looking for these for quite some time now. I had a beautifully running small coil; that is until I blew up the 40N60's with my voltmeter probe...wow, what a bang! Normally the 40N60's are bullet-proof unles you do something stupid like that. But I guess if you're going to play, you're giong to pay! I am sooo glad that you still have some of these! Would you consider partial cash and trade??? All I can afford is $140ea. and I have several large corona rings (30 x 7) and a brand-new big bore kit and cam shaft and gears for a Harley Sporster I'll just throw in ($$big bucks alone$$) as I don't have the Sporster anymore. Please consider my offer. Hank

Dr Hank,
You got them all.
I am going to VTTC full speed and will not be building anymore solid-state coils so glad they will go to a good home. Will bring them up to the thon to save shipping.
Man looking forward to a Stage 3 on my Sportster indeed.!

Guys come on. $60 each, $140 each, $200 each? I'm not sure if you're kidding or not, but thats a bit excessive considering these are not in short supply at all (IXYS 40N60's are even better and they are readily available)
If you really want to buy some, i'll sell them for $25.00 each (IXYS equivalent). Thats at my cost.
