Sorry to barge into a thread but it saves me from making a new topic.

I'm using a 2N3055 and 555 driver for my ignition coil, and my other DC output source. Are you telling me that all i have to do is add 2 resistors on pin 7, audio to pin 5, and ground and thats it?

Link2

I'm using that as my coil driver. So is that really all that needs to be done? I was told audio was very complex and needed a lot of parts.. not just a simple.. 555...

The frequency of a ignition coil is much lower than a flyback transformer and a ignition coils output is AC, so I would advice you to find a flyback transformer instead, as you will not have any luck audio modulating a ignition coil.

Ya. on my coil i can get good sound quality minus the high pitch squeel fainted in the music... If that could be deleted it would be fine xD
