There is a limit, The faster speed generally means more projectile wobble. The fake rails will be teflon, which should help with keeping the gap small, without the projectile being hindered.
On another note, i figured out why my rogowski coil was no working. I put the threshold at 0, so it would not trigger. The coil seems to work well. I tried a coil, which showed low peaks and a longer pulse, and wire exploding which showed ringing. I also made a acrylic coil holder, with a 3/4" hole, perfect for those cable's. Ok, so today my mcmaster order came in, i got the rail gun bolts and nuts, the capacitor screws, and 3ft of copper. However, they sent the wrong thing, and in stead of 6ft of aluminum flat bar, i got theese 2 6ft steel things, that had a hinge in the middle ;(. Im am trying to contact them, see how fast they can send the right thing.
