16 at October. Don't remember how I got into it, started with HV then worked to LV logic. I remember myself saying that I didn't need LV logic. Oh, how foolish I was. xD First coil at 11, 2kva. Took a break due to being occupied for a while, got back in about a year or so from now. Coil I'm proud of I built last October, 10kva. Working on SSTCs at the moment.

Wow, you guys are depressing me :P.
Always been into electronics, would take stuff apart, make simple circuits(light bulb, switch, power source) at like 5, i then put it off until like 12, when i started looking at more complex circuits, using real IC's. While looking at circuits, one day i came across something called an 'ignition coil driver'. Made it at the age of 13, never stopped loving high voltage from then on.
So i suppose i have been in HV for 2 years, and tesla coils about a year. Hmm, still don't know many ic's, but i can make them work if i take awhile to learn about them. Made a small amplifier before on the forum, but has been thrown away. Used a small 2 channel amplifier, which was just an IC consisting of an operational amplifier, and a totem pole output stage. Something like 10-40 watts, came from a television.
I just keep hoping i will never stop loving high voltage, because seeing arcs is just... well, you feel so accomplished. Almost gave up tesla coils for awhile, but back on track with them, just need to look for parts.

I'm 17...
I'm on this forum for two and half years now, but not posting much anymore.
I hardly have any life apart from electronics and associated sciences... I've been into many projects as well but none of them have ever worked for much. Most were a waste of time and money, looking back now.
I'm trying to do fine at school and that's just it. There's no ''social life'' or anything like that of course, and I'm glad for that.

216 years old!?!? ;-O
34 here. Built my first conventional Tesla Coil about 12 years ago and progressed solid state designs since then. I work full time as an electronics design engineer, mainly in the fields of power electronics and embedded control.
