The price is 5$ per gallon here if you find a good deal. More like 6 bucks on weekdays. Not what you would expect from a oil-producing country. (Wages are about twice as high as most countries in absolute value, so we win a little)

Well, the only reason gas prices are low is because demand is down. The high spike in prices during the summer drove demand down, changed some people's habits, etc...
You're just seeing it now since it takes awhile for the markets to respond - it doesn't happen instananeously.

For regular unleaded out hear it is about $1.80 per gallon which is the lowest I have seen in the longest time and I got my license at 16 now I am 19 and have been driving since 13 years old which is e legal of course.

About NZ$1.60 per litre here, its great because recently it was approaching $3 a litre! I vaguely remember being a kid in the early 90's and it was like NZ$.50 a litre
