Your toploads are rather high above the secondary top
Well, they kind of need to be, otherwise the sparks may jump down and hit the primary rails

maybe you need to apply a thicker layer of varnish in order to kill the corona
I did, and the coils still have excessive corona breakout. This is what made me think that the secondary coils just need to be bigger.


Can I wind a secondary coil on a square form. Would this work as good as a circular form. Anyone seen this done before.

I ask because the secondaries are 4 inches in diameter, and they don't really sell pvc thats 5 inches. So I had the idea of winding new coils on a square form.

The corners of the square former wouldn't help your corona problem ;) ... so, noooo good.

The twins ran great at the Western Winter Teslathon.

The last pic is my favorite. I'll be tearing this system apart and using the transformers for something else. Enjoy the pics.
