Ok, here's the new coil.....yet again....
the mosfet has been removed for testing, and it will be replaced soon hopefully with the right polarity...i will work it out
i think the issues are due to the internal diode.

here's the SSTC now, with its new paint job, and seperate power supplies. The MOSFET on its large heatsink and fan will be mounted between the two close supports. This means that the MOSFET will be closer to the driver ic (recommended), which is bolted to the base.
