I use them with gate drive chips anyways because the ti chips are expensive.

Thank you very much for making the advice everybody and your answer. Resonant frequencies of this SSTC were 2.8MHz and a very high frequency, so MOSFET DriverIC in TI couldn't use it, so signal amplification was performed by a transistor.

Ive built coils with bipolar GDT drivers and without the clamping diodes the transistors got hot. The whole coil didn't work as well.

A coil couldn't amplify a feedback by lack of amplification of a transistor as the cause which didn't move. Or that a transistor didn't correspond to a high frequency thinks.
