would your book be useful to beginners? and its DRSSTC's right?

Yes, the book would be great for both beginners and experienced coilers as well. Yes, DRSSTCs which is Double Resonant Solid State Tesla coil. Steve Ward also has an excellent write-up on his website on DRSSTCs and Terry Fritz has a complete DRSSTC website at http://www.drsstc.com as well. There are other DRSSTC sites out there as well.

is the circuit layout a little easier to understand with double resonant coils? or just as complicated, we can get pre fab boards for these no?

There is no difference in the complexity between a standard SSTC and a DRSSTC when it comes to board layout. They are pretty much the same. Pre-fab boards are available. I believe someone on the list was already looking to make a bulk purchase for some.

Yep, I'm looking at getting some. It's the same board as in Christopher Robin's 40 something KW DRSSTC, designed by Steve Ward. He was kind enough to post a link to the board and schematics, with no question of payment or even any recognition.
His name will remain on all boards purchased.
I'm halfway through a PLL board, but I would rather use Steve's, it's been debugged and is a proven entity already.

The control board really has nothing to do with the output power of the DRSSTC. You could use the same control board for a 100W DRSSTC as you could with a 50kW DRSSTC.

what is the difference between the sstc and drsstc? Would i be able to use parts disected and make a goal of at least 1 foot streamers with a small 3*10 inch secondary? and a board about 3*5 inches? ill take a look at some of my more bulky mosfets, i need 4 i assume right? any good plans for a beginner? the only large mosfets(assumably handle more power handle) i have more than one of are two 2SC2625 and under that it says 7034 if it matters i will google this and see what it is. i checked it out and it is a 450 volt 10 amp npn transistor.
