Flyback Transformer Problem help me pls

 		I will keep all those points in mind. I have a nice variable ballast so I`ll probably ramp it up gradually, then set it at a conservative power and leave it in there permanently. I want the thing to work a while, at least until the novelty wears off and I hope that the ballast plus this nice big heatsink I have will make it pretty bombproof. I`m using 60-0-60 volts and I`ve got a large flyback - from an old `Scramble` machine! The core is much bigger than your typical flyback.

I`ll be sure to let you know how I get on :o)
