Ohh my, what a pleasant surprise here on christmas evening, in a mere 13 minutes the whole family here will gather around the table for a feast of another world :D

I actually forgot the 8 pieces that support the secondary, as i wrote I forgot some, so it would have been 84 if I weren't in such a hurry and submitted the guess before looking pictures through again :)

Thanks for rewarding me anyway :)

Merry christmas all!

Dr Spark -

On Dec. 22, you noted that you had Henry weld a hook on to the base to allow a "wench" to pull the machine up into your trailer.

That wouldn't be the same wench who threatened your "parts" if you didn't spend more time with the family?

Seriously, this system looks absolutely incredible ..... clearly the result of your "quality first" philosophy. Can't wait to see it in operation.

Regards,
Herr Zapp

I don't understand why you wouldn't do some sort of lash up before you make it all nice n pretty. Seems like every time I make it all nice first time I end up hacking the crap out of it to make changes.

I am so excited, Chris! We have all been waiting to see this bad-boy run! Not to mention Dr. H! And ~4.5kv at 2 amps? Wow, these sparks are going to be GREAT! And then after the doubler that would be 9kv at 1 amp, if the doubler was perfect! Oh wow, are you sure the tubes can handle 9kv without arcing over? They are only rated for 3500vdc max IIRC.

@ Tom.
I feel the same way, i have never really made something without a lash-up first. Then again, i haven't made much stuff that is permanent anyway. But, every time Chris does something, it seems that it works perfect the first time. tongue I feel that this will turn out the same way.
