Is it just me, or do many of us seem to display hoarding symptoms?

without a doubt, Ill upload a picture of my lap after new years :D

just found this interesting, hoarding being the last behavior to emerge in OCDs

Leckman JF, Bloch MH. (2008). A developmental and evolutionary perspective on obsessive-compulsive disorder: whence and whither compulsive hoarding? wrote ...

Children go through a stage of collecting and storing objects that increases until the age of six when it shown by roughly two in three individuals.[1] Generally, the earlier the progress through this stage, the more advanced their level of developmental. Children with severe intellectual disability may engage in hoarding behavior at older ages.[2] This behavior seems to be part of normal sequence of Obsessive–compulsive_disorder-like behaviors that start around two and half years of age such as concern with bedtime rituals, arrange things to be “just right” and concerned with dirt and germs of which hoarding is the last to emerge.

My lab rarely gets that messy. If I need to move stuff to work, it's time to clean up. The only things that are just thrown into a box are the junk PCBs that I pull parts off of when I can't find one in the component drawers. I need to clean out my box because it's getting full. I also need to clean out my box-o-wire.

Think we all like to gather stuff. I have a hard time deciding what to throw away. I just keep stuff because in might be useful sometime. Haven't had the time to clean up my room yet so no pics yet frown

Me too, but my mother definately dont. I had a computer (Win 2000) with a crt monitor and printer stuffed away at my parents house, which i had some future plans for. One beautiful november day my mother got so fed up by that old thing wasting space that she threw it out and burned it. I could feel its pain from over 100km away.

So to punish her for her wrong doings, i quicly filled up that room with TWO old computers! Mvuhahaha.
