Hello HV-dudes!
Last week Teslaton 2008 was held in a small village
in south Moravia in Czech Republic. There was joined
12 coilers&friends from Czech and Slovak Republic and
performed 4 SGTCs, 2 VTTCs withh GU-81, 1 DRISSTC and
my audiomodulated DRSSTC. We had a lot of fun wit these
coils but also some crashes happened. Small SGTC broke
poorly made rotary sparkgap and ened with some arcing
in MOT. DRISSTC exploded many times :D but was quickly
repaired with a new set of MOSFETs. My DRSSTC failed
after some longer run while arcing and black-outed the
room :) (onboard fuse survived but not that in house
switchboard). Fortunatelly later I found that IGBT didn't
failed but varistor was cracked and also tyristor preregulator.
Currently I made it working again. VTTCs was very stable
and can run several minutes, no damage. That big SGTC
was the most impressive TC i saw live. I was ~2m far away
behind the metal fencing (see video). Some courageous
people takes a metal-fabric jacket and let hit themselves
by arcing :) So I'd like to share my photos from this
session with you:

Martin

I have no clue what's wrong with this f*cking webhosting. Nobody from CZ or SK have problems with accessing it. The 8000MB message is not the limit but it is an advertisement of payed hosting 8000MB per mont for 75czk.
At last try direct link to directory with photos: Link2
otherwite I'll had to upload it on RS or similar...
