Joules is a measurement of energy, not current. To get the current that will flow through the load, you need the inductance, resistance, voltage and capacitance. There are some Java calculators floating around on the internet.

i dont think i will play around with these i charge one of them and the discharge was so loud it was crazy im pretty sure if someone got bit by one of these they would probably die.

So don't mess with those, a mistake can be your last one...
I suggest first playing with smaller caps if you are a beginner, like photoplash ones...
