Where do you get 6750W? You'll torch the thing at those powerlevels. MOTs are designed with somewhere between 650W and 1200W of power input in mind. Sure, running them into a direct short can push them to 2000-2500W and make them nice and toasty, but I don't think you would be able to get it to 6750W.

The transformer you have IS a MOT, at least if the picture you sent is what you have.
Read the HVWiKi article posted above about MOt's before you start experimenting with it, as you can kill yourself with it if you don't have a good grasp of the danger.

I'll post the link again just to be double sure you see it this time.

I say again, read the article before you apply power to the unit.

The more powerfull MOT that I have seen, its mine, that can get 1500W without any burn or other thing, and that is a monster for even a mot.
In short circuit it get 30A from 110VAC mains.
So your mot cant be 6750, that is like a pig pole xP

Most MOTs will draw over 4000VA when shorted, one of my MOTs draws 25A when shorted from 240V, thats 25*240= 6000VA. So 6750 does seem unlikely, but not impossible.
