I'm a cable guy.
Got an Associates in electronics engineering before doing 10 years in the Army.
In the Army I was a Network Switching Systems Engineer, which is a fancy way of saying Telephone Switch Tech. After i got out I had a boatload of Army College money, but never used it. Instead I got married, had kids, got divorced, got a series of crummy jobs until I found Cable and here I stayed for the last 5 years.

In essence, I'm a nobody that likes to build stuff in my garage, and you guys are cool enough to help keep me from electrocuting myself.

I live in Australia, 26 yrs old. I used to be a boilermaker, not sure what they are called outside of Australia but basically it was welding and making stuff from steel. I now work for an open cut coal mine as a mechanical engineer, looking after the weld repairs of the dragline and shovel booms and frames and the buckets they use. I also study mechanical engineering externally which I am half way through.
Electronics and playing with high voltage is just a hobby I have had a passion for since I was little.

PhD in electronic engineering. I was once a university lecturer. I am now working as an RF engineer in a small company in Belgium where I am designing small X-band (8GHz) transponders for deep-space applications.
