Ok, with the transformer i have, what would be the best voltage rating for the MMC? and farad rating?

I have a question for you?

How much research have you done before building your coils?
From the questions on this post, having a hard time thinking you have examine every post on this forum on Spark Gap coils and also on pupman.
Please do your homework and research as we are not here to build your coils for you indeed!

Rgs,
Ch

Exactly, I couldn't agree more with your post Dr.Spark.
Tigris you need to look at some designs of other coils and then see what you need.
Also I would serious look at the safety part of tCing as well. If you are not familiar with the circuit design or how it works, then you probably don't know just how dangerous high voltage power supplies are. RF at high voltage is also very dangerous. Reading HV forums (Tesla coil postings with pictures) is a good start.
Pupman.com is a good idea too.

I didnt want to start a new tread. But i have done a LOT of looking around and got ideas and parts lists for what i need to make my tesla coil work. I just have one question. While i was winding my secondary coil my wire got caught on something and snapped. Do i or should i start over? or can i take and do a little touch solder to the wires? I cant find any thing on this topic.

Do you have enough wire to start again? This would be the best option.
It is possible to repair it as some people have done, but you have to be
very careful as this will be a weak point on the secondary and will probably
break out there during operation.
Just start again, winding secondaries is not too hard or time consuming
once you work out your rhythm.

I do not have enough at the moment. I bought about 10 more than i needed, but to do the whole thing again i would need to buy a new spool. But thanks for the help :)

How much wire did you get on to your coil form? 800x?
