Im at a loss. I cant get anything across the spark gap but the XFMR current when everything else is unplugged as soon as I plug in the CAP circuit I get nothing. I tried the new wiring scheme and the old and still nothing. Its possible the CAP is now bad but since it never ran with it Im not sure if its that. The CAP looks fine but its hard to tell. The new power supply may have been too much for it.
Another strange thing about the "Info Unlimited" plan is that the primary and secondary are wired together at the base of the secondary were from what I can tell the secondary should only have a ground wire and nothing else going to it.
Is there anyone in the Philadelphia area that would like to be commisioned to get this TC up and running? At this point in time it is more important to get it running than it is to say I did it myself.
Yes, your capacitor seems like it has died. hmm. sorry to hear this. The problem you were having before may have been from overly high tank circuit voltages which is likely why your cap is dead now. I would suggest you go with an MMC. This might be your best bet now.

Hmm, that sux. MAybe it was do to the fact that in the original plans the CAP was charged directly across the XFMR. As a last ditch effort, since I just ordered another CAP of this type, would I have a better shot if I wired two CAPs of this type in series?
