Those ics look like my 2 STK4121 II ic's. Right on the package, it says stereo amplifier. Here's the datasheet for mine:

I built the "application" circuit at the bottom and applied an audio signal, and it worked! The audio was greatly amplified. I input my ipod and thru it into a big 8 ohm speaker.

Anyways, thats a DC flyback. It's just going into the HV splitter for each CRT as was said before.
