I dunno, whats the deal with Australia? Hopefully you know more about it than me? As far as i know, it doesnt really effect *me* except i pay like 2X as much to ship internationally, but maybe i will learn otherwise when i try to ship things :P.

I think digikey imposed it sincethey are out of stock atm..OH CRAP its also ONLy in multiples, I'm a bit interested in some also so I wanted to figure up the price and since Steve said we might exceed 30 I tried to type in 40 as a quantity and it said "multiple of quantity not met" So I guess its imposed by ixys but I'm not sure.

Hmm, well i will have to give digikey a call. Often times you can work around these things. We'll see how many we need by next week and figure it out from there. Maybe i can do an order of 30 and someone else can do another order, or i can do a second order later. Im not into investing $750 in IGBTs when im also looking at moving into a new house and may have security deposits and stuff to pay up front.

Hmm, and not only that - don't know for you guys but when I get shipping date 26. october! So nothing of this soon I guess! :(

I'm still rather unfamiliar with digikey and never though these IGBT's would get so much attention. But SOT227 parts are cool indeed, and I don't know of any IGBT of these ratings cheap as this new. like $30-50 is usual price, and not a single device is in stock at all!

Not sure if this lead time gap will always be the same or is the date fixed for some reason?

Spreading the group buy over several people is a good idea definitely, I would not be happy with buying $1000 of IGBT's neither.

Doesn't digikey require multiples of 30 or is it just a minimum of 30?

Well, its stated as a minimum quantity, so id assume its not a multiple of 30. Im not sure if digikey imposes this or if its IXYS.

I believe i can ship to Canada as a $0 gift as well.

You can only buy in multiples of 30. For the heck of it i tryed to put 40 and it wouldent go through. When i try 30 or 60 it gives me a lead time.

you would have to find out locally how much the postage costs and let me know, how are you going to send it?
what payment methods do you accept?

Those are NOT the same parts, they are considerably worse performance specs.

I'll try and give digikey a call tomorrow and ask what the deal is on multiples of 30 (it just seems wrong) and the lead time issue.

We use these parts extensively as well as their D3Pak variants. They work excellent for DRSSTC work.
