Hehe thanks guys. Progress is coming along with my work area. I got a nice bench dmm made by fluke for $50 and my video wall is starting to come together also. The monitors were donated to me by my dad's driend who was getting rid of them. Here are some pics.

sweet meter. I'm getting closer to finishing the function generator current booster amp, so you'll be able to add that to the bench too ;)

On another note, your water heater is wayy too low to the ground. It should be 18" off the ground so it doesn't ignite fumes and blow your house up.

Yea i know. in fact, my dad is going to put a new one in within the next couple weeks because that one is 18 years old and it's on it's last leg "literally". btw what are the specs on the current booster amp?

I haven't tortured the amp enough to know the specific power output just yet, but I think its about 20W. I was thinking I would measure the power at all freq. ranges with a 1R heavy duty bulb, but the problem is it won't glow at all in some ranges, so the optical watt meter is sorta out.

So far its ~ 500mV in for I think 36V pk pk out at maybe an amp topps right now, but thats good for the start. I'm working on boosting it right now with 6 20MHz Motorola transistors in a nice fat brick. I hope to get 100W out of the next version with a bandwidth of 100Hz to 20MHz. That would be overkill, but one of my nicknames is M.D. Overkill.... hehehe.
