Hmm, I think the IRFP450 its a better choice than IRF740, I will buy some of these to run it at 300VDC without killing any mosfets.
I am using a antenna feedback, without oscilator, but the driver is not the TC4429, they get MUCH heat and normally gets killed, so I get another idea, design my self a GDT driver, but I didnt design that, I only modded the Steve Ward Fullbridge SSTC driver.
2 TC4429 driving IRF540 and IRF9540 (Fullbridge) for GDT Driving, the TC4429 runs fine direct at IRF540-9540 Gates. And the IRF's of GDT driver get a little hot only.

> In this week I will buy a 10Mhz Scope to get more accurate the waveform of gate drive and for my other sstc's too.
If you want to look at waveforms in a SSTC switching at 1.5MHz, then a 10MHz scope isn't going to be much use. Squarewaves are composed of a series of harmonics that must be correctly processed by the scope in order for it to show a faithful representation of the waveform. A 10MHz scope will only pass up to the 5th harmonic of a 1.5MHz squarewave, causing severe rounding and distortion of the wave shape.
Aim for something with at least 50MHz bandwidth, preferably 100MHz if you want the traces to be useful at this frequency.

Hmm, the big problem is the prices of the new scopes here, I didnt found any good used scope here for a good price. But the cheapest scope that I can get is the Icel 10Mhz Scope that costs R$499 or US$311 but its a single trace one. The second cheapest is the Icel 20Mhz Scope that costs R$800 or US$500, that is Two Trace. The third is some minipa 20Mhz that costs arround R$1400 or US$876. That is not cheap. I know on ebay they have better prices but I cant buy it from brazil, the corrupt customs **** up with the packages, or if they dont, I can get 200% of taxes V.V
I didnt buyed yet the scope, I waiting to first arrive my DRSSTC book that I have bought from lulu.com (EVR), the books doesnt have any taxes here, and the customs dont want books xP
