Yes, but I suppose you can't tune your Class E output stage with a SGTC calculator because of the MOSFET capacitance etc.

Yeah, preferably with the help of an oscilloscope. Look at Steve Ward's page, you'll find the simulated waveforms on the page very helpful.

Class-E tuning guide: Link2

For those not already familiar with Class-E tuning the objective is to "land" the point with the little circle around it safely at the bottom of the cliff. If the voltage swings smoothly down to zero at this point then the MOSFET turns on with no voltage across it and no current flowing through it. Elimination of turn-on switching losses at high frequency and high voltage is the aim of the game.

The arrows on that diagram show how altering the various circuit parameters move that point.
