I actually caught the dog trying to drag one of the heatsinks outside last night, this is after he removed the entire length of the downpipe from the side of the house .
Gun sounds like an option.... need caps now though! lol

I'll second the flyback driver. Get some huge cores and wind your own coils. Solid state pig? Sure!

Those IGBTs would be complete overkill for transformer driving! I ended up using small TO-247 sized IGBTs, though i havent gotten the thing past 2kW yet... i gave up my plans of running a SGTC with it and now use it to charge my 5kj pulse cap in about 10 seconds smile .
