Good news! I finally get my electrothermal gun work and its pretty powerful... I loaded it up to 300Joules and fired and the underwater explosion was so powerful that my barrel got off and I dont find it anymore and the bullet went trough the can and came out of hard size of the can: here is a few pics:

Well that's a nice result I would say.

I'm planning to play with these things in the future, but I'm not sure how to construct my device yet. Do you think an automotive sparkplug would work as the "spark gap"?

Well maybe but it cant have resistance as usual...I have to find out what is the best spark distance with 400V .
