I am a 7th form, Year 13 student at the Rudolf Steiner School in Hastings, New Zealand. For 8 months of our final year we must take on a project, which i have chosen to build a Tesla coil. I am new to the HV and Tesla coil sceene but would like to build a medium to high power solid state Tesla coil. I have just purchased Daniel McCauley's Book: DRSSTC 2 which I will be using as my bible. If you do "accept" me as a home I do not mind paying for shipping or anything for that matter.

Haha you really must be! I was on here, went to another site for about fifteen minutes, and when I came back this thread had been added and you had already gotten the MMC. Not that I mind, since I haven't even built a simple SSTC yet, let alone a DRSSTC. What are the specs of the rest of the coil you're going to put this on, Benguy?

I have made a SSTC before. It was a SS driver for an iggy coil and that drove the TC, SSTC. I have a micro SSTC and some other HV junk like jacobs ladders and such. This will be my first DRSSTC though, I want something cool....
